Cleveland Cascades have been successful in winning an order for three grain loading chutes for operation in the Ukrainian Port of Illichevsk. The Free Fall systems, which use GRP cones in order to save weight, will be 30 metres in length and will each house extraction-mounted carrier units in order to minimise dust emissions.
The systems, which will handle the grain at rates of up to 2,000 tonnes per hour, will be shipped in September, and will hopefully be in operation by the end of the year.
This order represents an exciting time for Cleveland Cascades, as it has allowed for further development of its systems. The saving of weight by using GRP cones as opposed to Mild Steel will hopefully prove effective in winning future projects where weight limitations are of importance.
