Cleveland Cascades has reached the Final, of the SME Exporter of the Year Awards, after being selected to a shortlist of three companies. The competition is an annual event organised by The North East Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with the “The Journal” and “The Gazette” newspapers.

The North East Exporters’ Awards aims to recognise the efforts of companies that, through exporting achievements, are making a huge contribution to both the regional and UK economies. It also looks to acknowledge and celebrate the strength and diversity of North East exporting.

The winners of each of the award categories will be revealed at an awards dinner taking place on Thursday15th September at Ramside Hall Hotel, County Durham.

The selection of Cleveland Cascades to the prestigious shortlist, recognises the company’s strong performance in global markets. Despite challenging conditions in the global dry bulk industry, sales revenue was up 12% year on year and the export ratio reached 90%. Loading chute systems were supplied to 18 different countries in all areas of the world including USA, Canada, South America, Australia, Asia as well as Europe.
