Cleveland Cascade Chutes installed at Forth Ports, Scotland

Cleveland Cascades has recently been involved with the installation and function testing of two newly supplied Cascade chutes for Forth Ports.

Working with SAMSON Material Handling, Cleveland Cascades have provided a set of two chutes for the controlled handling of Salt, Sand and Various Agri – Bulk materials.

The chutes are mounted from a Hopper with Slide Gate Valves and extend to 6.3m in length. Their retracted position allows for effective clearance when loading Road Wagons.

Due to the handling of Agri-Bulk materials, the chutes are designed and made with an EX rated electrical system in accordance with the sites zoning.

The chutes will each handle 380 to 720 metric tonnes per hour of the various materials and hot commissioning is expected to occur in the coming months.
